The twenty-six members of the 2011-12 class of Leadership Bay County will graduate June 13 -- but not before they unveil their exciting class project.
Join our class members for the Art S.P.A.R.C. Ribbon Cutting Kick-Off Ceremony, Thursday, May 31, 4:00 p.m. at the Third Street Waterfall Park.
The 2012 Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bay County class, in collaboration with the Downtown Management Board, Bay County high school students and Downtown Bay City businesses present "Art S.P.A.R.C." a venture that created historic murals throughout downtown.
The class chose this project as a way to engage area youth in a venture that will enhance the community. The goal was to connect youth to their community as they learned more about our area's history, all while creating original murals for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come.
Local high school students have researched the history of the Bay Area and created breathtaking murals that represent how the area's history has shaped our community.
Leadership Bay County is designed to help members better understand our community by reviewing its history, agriculture, business development, government, education, law enforcement, natural resources, arts and human services.
Since the program began in 1987, more than 500 people have graduated from Leadership Bay County. Many of these attendees are serving in leadership capacities throughout the community.
