We saw "Deadpool 2."
What a hoot all the way through the movie! When they play the opening credits, read them. I found myself laughing out loud.
Now to be honest this film is NOT for everyone. If you saw the first 'Deadpool" you will understand. The new one is raunchier and bloodier.
However it was also funnier.
There are multiple references to other Marvel and DC movies. Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, even gives a shout out to the movie "Goonies" when he calls Cabel, played by Josh Brolin, "One-Eyed Willy.
The story revolves around Wade Wilson/Deadpool losing his girlfriend. He goes into depression and is helped out of it by X-men. (Keep your eyes open for quick cameos.) He tries to help out a young mutant, played by Julian Dennison, with anger issues and winds up in trouble with him. Cabel comes from the future to deal his form of justice to the young mutant.
The acting is excellent. The irreverent humor is a stitch. The special effects are done very well. The director, David Leitch, does a good job of not letting things go too far afield.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. It?s not an Oscar award winner nor is it for everyone.
So if you feel you're up to it, go.
Have fun. Eat popcorn.
