Yea for Tom and Joe! They have always lived in the
real world. I moved back to Bay City 5 yrs ago- what a mistake- I should have stayed in Linwood. I agree with them- the costs are unbelieveable- it is only the cat and myself at home and I am at work all day. BAY CITY management must do something and DO it now since they have ignored this situation in years past. This is why I think Bay City employees should live in Bay City to pay the same costs. The task force they have assembled is having to do the City management work for them at no costs. Belleman is famous for pass the buck.. I am in agreement that we should go with other facilities with someone else that knows what they are doing. Tired of paying high dollar! Jane |

I agree city sewer rates are out of line. However, I am shocked that the community center and pool did not install a second meter decades ago. Homeowners in the city and the townships have this done for pools, lawncare, outside watering. If mere homeowners know about this, how is it that the county is so far behind? Think about the tens of thousands of dollars spent needlessly when the county could have installed that 2nd meter a long time ago. The city rates contribute to the decline of rental buildings and commercial structures that can't offset the higher costs with increased rent thus making less money available for maintenance. The county must help the city overcome this issue in a postive way for the city. Look at neighboring counties to the south and you can see the decline of the core, the city, makes everything less attractive. Let's come up with cooperation that is good for the entire county community.
