"It Chapter Two."
Holy Smokes I loved it.
If you've seen any of the reviews you may be under the impression it was too long or boring. I don't agree at all. Of course it is 169 minutes long, so plan accordingly. I rewatched Chapter One just before I went to this one. The story followed better for me.
The plot was great, well written and directed by Andy Muschietti. The Gang gets called back to Derry because It has returned after 27 years. Mike Hanlon has remained in Derry and calls them when it begins. The reactions of his friends really varies. I won't tell you how but it does give you insight into their adult personalities. Anyone who read the book or saw the mini-series know the endings were not well liked. Here now though they had a chance to rectify things, and they did.
The actors, young and old are great. The casting director did a marvelous job of matching the adults to the youths. The acting was spot on. The young actors of Beverly and Richie mentioned who they would like to play them in Chapter Two, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader. They came onboard and did a great job. Of course Bill Skarsgard is Pennywise.
I found it fast paced and good. I loved it.
So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
