Bright, metallic green -- 1/2 inch long, flattened back -- Purple abdominal segments.
Treatment to control Emerald Ash Borer infestations in an effort to save publically owned ash
trees will be done throughout Bay County starting on June 7, 2018, and will continue until all
treatments are complete, including on the weekends.
Trees will be treated using a direct
tree injection of the Arborjet product Tree-age. Tree-age contains the active ingredient
Emamectin Benzoate. There are no re-entry restrictions associated with this treatment since the
product is injected directly into the individual trees. The applicator will have copies of the product
label and the Safety Data Sheets available at treatment sites while injecting trees.
The application will be done by Kinnucan Tree Experts, of 28877 Nagel Ct, Lake Bluff,
Illinois 60044.
Maps of the trees to be treated and labeling for the Tree-age product may be viewed in the
Gypsy Moth Suppression Program office located on the 5th floor of the Bay County Building, 515
Center Avenue, Bay City, MI 48708.
Any questions should be directed to Alicia Wallace, Coordinator of the Bay County Gypsy
Moth Suppression Program at 989-895-4195 or wallacea@baycounty.net.
