BCLS Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Events
The Bay County Library System is gearing up for its largest community-engaging event of the year: Summer Reading Program, which runs June 10-August 10, 2019. AUBURN LIBRARY SUMMER READING KICK-OFF PARTY
Held at the Auburn City Park Pavilion on 9 Mile Rd., Auburn
Tuesday, June 11, 4:00-6:00 pm
Sponsored by Auburn Farmer's Market, the Jaycees, Endline/Pike, United Financial Credit Union, Auburn Recreation Board, and the Auburn Downtown Development Authority
Auburn Branch Library is excited to kick off Summer Reading Program with an incredible array of FREE activities for the whole family! Enjoy a Touch-a-Truck event including the Sheriff's Department, Michigan State Police, Williams Township Fire Department, race cars from the local track, and the Great Lakes Bay Health dental bus. Put your activity shoes on for the family DJ, bubbles and hula hoops, and several inflatables including an obstacle course and bounce house. There will be an area with family-serving organizations and local businesses to interact with the community as well, while the Lions Club will be providing eye testing. In addition, there will be appearances by a police dog, Lou E. Loon (at 5:00 pm) and a mystery character, plus face painting, free popcorn, drinks and ice cream!
PINCONNING LIBRARY-SPONSORED ILLUSION SHOW
Held at the Pinconning Boys and Girls Club at 201 North St.
Tuesday, June 11, 5:30 pm
The entire family will enjoy the amazing Baffling Bill Illusion Show held at the Pinconning Boys & Girls Club. All ages are encouraged to sign up for Summer Reading Program at this FREE event. Refreshments will be provided and fun is guaranteed!
SAGE LIBRARY SUMMER READING KICK-OFF LAWN PARTY

Wednesday, June 12, 4:00-5:30 pm
Sage Library will kick off Summer Reading Program with a FREE family party fit for all ages! Drop in to pick up your reading log and enjoy these great activities: Button maker and sun catcher crafts, sidewalk chalk art, oversized lawn games including Jenga, Kerplunk, Connect 4, Bowling, Corn Hole, Giant Bubbles, and Toss Game, popcorn, an Ice cream cart provided by Thumb National Bank, musical entertainment by Josh Ramses Band, and appearances by Lou E. Loon & Sammy Spirit!
