You may know them as founders of The Nielsen Gallery in downtown Bay City (Michigan).
This year's Tall Ship Celebration touched close to home for the Nielsens. It just so happens that Singe was born in Norway on the day the Sorlandet was launched in 1927. This past weekend -- across the world, and decades later, Singe and her daughter Christine were invited aboard the ship by Captain Stru himself and given a VIP tour.
The ladies raved about how generous the crew members were and how caring this community was to accommodate them as they did. Singe's son was a student on this educational vessel as well. The Nielsen girls are very grateful for this wonderful experience -- combining old memories with new, and will cherish the hospitality forever.
