If you were in downtown Bay City on Wednesday evening and didn't stop by Wenona Park, you probably still joined the party by dancing or singing or at the very least smiling at the colorful pedestrians.

Parrot Heads spread far and wide to enjoy Parrots of the Caribbean-Tribute to Jimmy Buffett. The weather gave the performers a break this week and a large lively crowd took advantage of the Bay Art's Council free Wednesdays in the Park concert.

Kids and adults lined the stage waiting for beads to be tossed their way. Dancing and hula hooping commenced as the music echoed throughout the downtown area. Beach balls bounced around the park while many folks frequented the vendors who offered food items including soda, popcorn, candy, Italian ice pizza and BBQ.

The concert series ends next Wednesday August 3rd with Phil Dirt and the Dozers at 7pm. Entertainment begins at 6 (rain or shine) with BCC Steelers Steel Drum Band. All concerts are now free of charge.

The Valley Rhythm Cloggers warmed up the crowd.

Benjamin Burnett, 2, from Bay City made himself comfortable during the show.
