MOVIE REVIEW: "Harriet" ... You Should Go See It

Well we saw "Harriet."

Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!

We all loved it. It was 125 minutes long but when it was finished I thought it was less than 90 minutes.

The story is a biography of Harriet Tubman. When and how she became free and what her exploits were after that. It was fast moving. Nothing was skipped but nothing was dwelled on either.

I plan on reading up on Harriet Tubman. She was such a strong, capable, woman. She was full of moxie and courage. Her accomplishments are what legends are made from. Such an amazing hero. It?s a movie that should be shown to high schoolers in history class.

The actress who played Harriet, Cynthia Erivo, did an excellent job. Her fellow actors matched her skill. The director, Kasi Lemmons, is someone whose work I will be following.

So go.

Have fun.

Eat popcorn.
