It may be cold outside, but let's all think SPRING and go hear the
Bay Concert Band's concert at Central High School this Sunday, March 10, 2019.
The title of this concert is
"Musical Americana" and will feature many familiar (and a few not-so-familiar) tunes.
Expect to hear
"American Folk Song Rhapsody N. 4" from Bernstein's "West Side Story".
Following those mid-50's tunes, the program moves forward in time to present a
"Star Wars" medley.
Other tunes include a selection of tunes made famous by
"Satchmo" (Louis Armstrong)
and music from Richard Rogers'
"Victory at Sea".
Of course there will be a couple of marches to get your feet tapping and the novelty number
"New York: 1927" that will take your right back to the streets of that busy City.
It all begins this Sunday at 3:00 p.m. (doors open at 2:30) in Bay City Central High School Auditorium. Admission is only $5 and children 6th grade and under are free.
See you there.
