MOVIE REVIEW: "The 15:17 To Paris."

I went with a friend a week ago to see "The 15:17 To Paris."

I wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be. I find if I'm disappointed in a movie I have difficulty getting motivated to review it. I never even wrote anything about ? Strong."

That was very disappointing.

Now, "The 15:17 To Paris" needed more of a story. We all know how the three Americans succeeded in stopping a terrorist aboard a train in France. They were given the highest award the French President could give.

But that wasn't enough of a story to sustain a movie plot. Consequently, the story of them growing up as friends was added, along with their trip through Europe. It centered on one of the three much more than the other two. It would have been more interesting to have backgrounds of the others also. The director, Clint Eastwood, chose the actual men to portray themselves in the movie.

Alek Skarlatos, Anthony Sadler, and Spencer Stone were the gentlemen. In theory that was a good idea, however, they weren't the actors they needed to be. It kept jumping between when they were kids and when they were adults. I believe this was to add time to the movie.

At 94 minutes it is one of the shorter ones.

I wasn't impressed. I certainly didn't expect perfection but I did expect more polish than there was. Nor was it the best-directed movie I've seen.

So go if you wish. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
