Let's Review: New Year's Resolution
My Plan: Walking More Will Help With Conditioning and Weight Control

There's A Cinnabun Store in the Mall -- One (1) Pecan Caramel Cinnabun is 1,080 Calories.
It's almost Valentine's Day . . . How are YOUR New Year's Resolutions going?
For me . . . In a word . . . (Ooops, can't say that.)
Let's just go with "badly."
I, fortunately, escaped Michigan (recently) for a few weeks to visit my daughter in Virginia. I optimistically went South . . . hoping to find warmer weather.
Not so much.
My New Year's Resolution was to walk for exercise and weight loss on a daily basis. (Even in the Winter.)
With the onslaught of the Michigan winter of 2017-18, let's just say . . . "DAILY" was not the best choice for a walking schedule.
I best-guessed that Virginia would be much warmer and snow free. Daily walking would be an achievable goal.
Wrong again!
Too cold! Too wet, rainy. And yes, it snowed often in Blacksburg, Virginia in January.
Desperate! I decided to find a Mall for daily exercise.
Seemed like a near-perfect plan. Twice around the Mall . . . almost two (2) miles.
It was going well.
And then . . . On day 3 . . . I found the Cinnabun Store.
They're less expensive if you buy (4) four.

Like I said ... Exercise and weight loss are not going all that well. That Cinnabon Store might be the problem . . . You see . . . There are 1,080 calories in each Pecan Caramel Cinnabun.
DILEMMA: If you only buy one, they're REALLY expensive.
So . . . I buy a 4-pack (best deal) . . . I'm no dummy. Everybody knows . . . The more you buy .
. . The cheaper it gets.
Something?s wrong. I might need some help with the math here.
Try to stay with me on this.
Walking two miles . . . maybe 350-400 calories burned.
Cinnabun for breakfast . . . and maybe another 1/2 a Cinnabun for a snack at night.
ADDITIONAL OBSERVATION: It?s getting more and more difficult every day to walk around the Mall.
I'm stumped . . . Can anyone explain why I'm walking more but still gaining weight? It's not like I'm buying a Cinnabon 4-pack every day.
I'm walking 4 days but only buying a 4-pack of Cinnabuns twice a week . . .
Should I still be losing weight?
I should be.
Right?
I'm sure I'm not the only Mall-Walker with this problem. If you have any ideas, get in touch.
