I saw "The Greatest Showman". It was marvelous! If you like musicals you have to see it. The audience burst into applause at the end.

It follows the life of P.T. Barnum from about the age of 10. He comes from very poor beginnings and strives to become something and to be accepted by high society. What he manages to do is create a family with his wife and one with his curious people and oddities he brings together as the basis for his circus. He has people of all ages, shapes, sizes and color gathering as a celebration of humanity. He brings them confidence and respectability. He is quoted as saying during the credits, "The noblest art is that of making others happy." That's how I felt at the end.

The scenery is very well done. The acting, dancing, and singing were so very good. The musical score has new songs. The whole movie has such energy.

Hugh Jackman is perfect as P.T. Michelle Williams is his wife. Zac Efron does a great job as his business partner. The supporting cast is amazing. Keala Settle is Lettie, the bearded lady. Zendaya and Yahya Abdul-Mateen played sister and brother trapeze artists. (She does her own trapeze work.) Sam Humphrey is General Tom Thumb. All of the actors who played his circus family was terrific singers.

It was such a feel good, heartwarming movie. You will love it!

So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
