Local Drummer Zach Brunett Puts Away Drumsticks For Family.
Local Musicians in this area are a tight group of individuals. Individuals with a common interest in music, a common interest in our community and most importantly a group of individuals with families at home.
Playing out on the road, 3-4 nights a week, being away from your family can be taxing. After a 5 year stint as the drummer for Steve Armstrong & The 25 Cent Beer Band, Zach Brunett, has decided to put away his drum sticks and focus on his family.
Brunett recently started a new path in his non-band professional career at Bay County Juvenile Center. "My son and wife need a father and husband who is completely and unconditionally devoted to there well being." said Brunett in a recent Facebook Post.
"I want to thank ALL OF MY FRIENDS that I have gained over the years being in this group, friendships that will last a lifetime. Your support of this band and myself proves to me the good in people, that you all let 6 average joes come into your life and entertain you. I love you guys more than you will ever know." said Brunett.
Brunett's last scheduled appearance with Steve Armstrong & The 25 Cent Beer Band will be on May 16th at The Willew Lounge in Bay City.
When asked if Brunett will be joining another band he said "No way . . . unless Justin Bieber has an opening!"
You may ask, "Why write an article about this?"
1 - Zach is a close friend of mine.
2 - Supporting local music is important to me.
3 - I personally understand the difficulty in walking away from something that has made you the person you are. Walking away from something that has taken you so long to build. Walking away from one of the most important things in your life to focus on THE most important thing in your life. . . Family.
Congratulations Zach!
