The Following Episode #1, Season #3, Body Count = 10 (A Good Start.)
The Following, Monday Night, 9:00 PM on Fox -- PREMISE: A brilliant and charismatic, yet psychotic serial killer communicates with other active serial killers and activates a cult of believers following his every command.
Kevin Bacon as Ryan Hardy, a former FBI agent, recalled to assist the FBI once Joe Carroll escapes and his cult begins to develop.
James Purefoy as Joe Carroll, a former professor turned serial killer and cult leader.
I have watched this TV show for two seasons.
It's a train wreck. I can't look away.
Episode #1 of the third season was 42 minutes long (An hour, minus 18 minutes of commercial time.)
For the past two seasons, the dead body count per week has grown exponentially . . . or, so it seems to me.
While I would like to go back and re-watch the first two seasons and verify that my perception is correct, I don't really care that much.
I'm curious, however, as to what the number might be . . . but refuse to schedule the allotted time it would take to fast-forward through 26 episodes. But, trust me . . . when I say . . . "It has been a Blood Bath" for two seasons.
I have rationalized that the next best thing (for you the reader) is for me to watch each week and to log the number of deaths in each episode of Season #3. I will try to keep the count up-to-date in this weekly blog.
Now you don't have to waste your time watching . . . Here's the count for week #1 of Season #3. (You're Welcome.)
Episode One = 10, Season Total = 10
Total minutes = 42, Total bodies . . .
Bodies/Minute = 4.2
Three in the hotel (Random Maid + Random Anniversary couple)
Three more random victims at the scene of Mark's twin brother's murder scene.
Four more random victims at Mark's mother's doppelganger re-enactment.
Line of the week: "Let's go kill some people"
Next Episode: Mon Mar. 16, 9:00 PM on Fox
