"Free Range" Bit-O-Honey . . . It's a good day, Tater.

Some Days Are Just Better Than Others

Some days are better than others.

I think everyone can agree.

The problem with most days is that we (humans) often set our expectation too high . . . expecting to learn, see or accomplish things that are relatively impossible.

Turn Down Your Expectation Meter
Enjoy The Journey
For example, 10 years ago, whenever I went fishing for Steelhead, I "expected" to have a great day fishing. Great day meant catching and landing a beautiful fish.

My meter was set too high.

Too often, I was disappointed. Many times, I left the river without touching a fish.

Today, I am older and wiser. I realize that the fishing has absolutely nothing to do with the day's level of enjoyment . . .

The key to happiness is to enjoy the journey.

Now, about the Bit-O-Honey.

Bit-O-Honey has been around since 1924. It is a candy bar consisting of six pieces wrapped in wax paper and then packaged in a cover wrapper. The candy consists of almond bits embedded in a honey-flavored taffy, which makes for a long-chewing candy. (Reference: Wiki.)

Bit-O-Honey has always been a favorite of mine.

On a recent grocery run, at Meier's, I stumbled across containers "full" of Bit-O-Honey -- individually wrapped..

"Look, Donna," . . . I blurted out, pointing to the shelf-full of Bit-O-Honey containers . . . "Free Range Bit-O-Honey."

Donna was not enthralled with my discovery.

My grocery shopping expectation meter was set REALLY low.

With that setting, it's REAL easy to have a great day, Tater (Reference: Ron White.)
