Thinking Out Loud
What Time Is It?!

Time is an illusion.
Albert Einstein

I hate Daylight Savings Time.

I am head cheerleader, main supporter and renegade leader of the group of individuals that say "just back away" from the clocks.

I don't enjoy an extra hour of sleep in the Fall and I loathe the losing one when "Spring ahead" comes around.

The shortened light of day of the Winter months are enough of a heaping dose of melancholy. Going to work when it is dark and returning home when it is dark, gives way to intense longing for someplace South.

And warm.

It is the time of year when flannel pajamas immediately after dinner are a girls best friend and that gets old.

Fast.

I can't be the only one in the camp that finds "Fall back" almost too much too bear.

The slap in the face of 5:00 pm darkness stings like a pair of jeans that don't fit anymore. It is anger and misery wrapped up in a desolate little package.

I wish we would let time and Mother Nature just runs its course naturally. It might make it a little easier on my mood swing that already dreads the upcoming months of sub-zero temperatures and that white stuff some people actually like.

Well, enough of me droning on about this.

Life goes on and whether we like it or not, that's the way it goes.

And I don't blame you if you give me a "time out" for being over dramatic on this subject.

I probably deserve it.
