The non profit organization,
The Friends of the Historic Masonic Temple of Bay City, MI is on a mission, "To preserve and restore the historic Masonic Temple, so that it may be enjoyed by future generations as a center for the arts."
Their second open house will be held on Sunday, May 18th, 2014 beginning with an informational presentation in the Blue Room by Eric Jhyla at 1:00 pm.
The popular local band,
The Paisley Fogg will entertain in the Blue Room beginning at 2:00 pm and the building is open to the public for tours from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm.
Well-known local businessman, Jim Dobson will have one of his historic firetrucks on site for display, to commemorate the fire at the Temple in the early 1900's.
The event is free to the public, but the group is accepting donations for the restoration effort.

I hope that the Friends of the Masonic Temple could post pictures of what a restored exterior of this magnificent building would add to the downtown. I think that if more people saw what this building with its towers once looked like,a snowball effect for restoration would occur.Gabe Sheridan
