As we experienced the 90 degree temperatures this past week . . . The kind of weather I love! I was happily pulling out the lighter weight clothes in my closet, shorts, skirts, spaghetti strap tops, ya know 'summer clothes'.
But OH WAIT, I thought, actually, now is when everyone will be running the air conditioning, I will freeze if I wear my 'summer-time' clothes. And this is what we all have been waiting for.
This is when I have to carry the additional 'sweater' on my arm, just to go into a restaurant. And if I forget then I freeze the whole time and it isn't such a comfortable or enjoyable experience.
I realize everyone's comfort level is different, personally mine is when temperatures are high. I find myself comfortable at 85 degrees, and even don't mind going for a run when temperatures are in the 90's.
When the temperatures are in the 60's or 70's and everyone says its perfect, I'm usually cold.
Also taking under consideration people that have to work in the heat and the health risks of this sort.
But can't there be a happy medium in these places. All I'm asking is that they take into consideration the fact that people are wearing clothes that are usually appropriate for the outdoor temperatures.
Reminds me of Las Vegas, where when you come in off the Las Vegas Strip you step into the Casinos and it's really cold.
I rarely use the central air at my house, after being cooped up all winter, when I finally have the opportunity to have the doors and windows open and breathe in all the fresh air and hear the sounds of the birds and other summer sounds, I LOVE It!
I admit the air comes in handy to lower the humidity and/or when there is company over that might enjoy the relief of the hot temperatures, which is most everyone I know!
:)
Anyway.... Enjoy your Summer........ Stay Cool !....??
