Meijer 10-Man Squad Takes State Runner-Up Trophy in Division II

The Meijer 10-Man team from Bay City took home the Runner-Up trophy at State Tournament.

During tournament play, Meijer was led (Day 1) in hitting by Jorge Espinoza as Meijer defeated Scottish Inn (Saginaw) and Roach Bar (Port Huron) before losing to the eventual tournament winner.

On Day 2, Meijer hitters Scott Goss, Mike Brochier, Dan Ahler, Arron Roach and Jorge Espinoza led the way as Meijer again defeated Roach Bar on their way to a 2nd Place Tourney finish.

Doug "Knuckleball" Yax pitched Meijer to a pair of victories and Coach "Lumpy" Brendan Weisan (with help from Player-Coach Mike Neu balanced the lineup.
