Spaghetti Dinner - May 6, 2008 to Benefit the Victims Fire at Manor House Apartments
St. Mary of the Assumption Church is having a spaghetti dinner to benefit the victims of the fire at Manor House Apartments on Kosciuszko Street. Many families have lost everything and are in need of help.
The date of the event is Tuesday, May 6th and will be serving Lunch & Dinner from 11:00am until 7:00pm. Adults are $8.00, Children 6-12 are $5.00 (Age 5 and under are free)
St. Mary Church is location at 607 E. South Union -
on the West Side of Bay City. Dinner will be served at St. Patrick's Hall which is the lower level of the Church.
"We are hoping that area businesses will order their lunches from us." said, Jackie DeLorge, Co-chair person of St. Mary Spaghetti benefit committee.
The dinner will include Spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert along with coffee, milk or punch.
Take outs will be available. There will also be a bake sale.
Imagine waking and having to flee for your life in the middle of the night with smoke and fire raging through your home. You have lost everything . . .
. . . You no longer have your driver's license, a social security card or even a birth certificate. No shampoo to wash your hair or even soap to take a bath. Those are just a very small amount of the possessions that have to be replaced by these fire victims.
Donations of cash will be accepted towards food for the dinner and other needs for the fire victims. Call 893-6251 in advance if you wish to attend the dinner or want to order take-out orders.
Sponsor are being taken for an individual table during the dinner for all to see. It is a great way to get your name out to the many hoped to served at the dinner. The ad on 8x10 card stock and will be printed on both sides and will be on display in the center of the table, minimum donation of $25.00 per ad.
