LunaFest Films Playing at the State Theater February 21, 22, 2008
LunaFest is filled with stories of reflection and whimsy, hope and humor, grace and perseverance, LUNAFEST films are renowned for celebrating the talents and stories of women. Films to be shown include many off the traditional 'festival circuit.'
Collectively, LUNAFEST films captivate audiences, compel dialog and arm those who participate with both the knowledge and the motivation to make a difference in their communities.
LUNAFEST's films have won industry awards and audience accolades, and the films selected for 2007-08 LUNAFEST share this brilliance.
From quirky animation to touching documentaries, the 9 selected films are incredibly diverse in both style and subject matter, united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling by, for and about women.

Bay City State Theater Presents "Dance With Me My Lady" Sponsored by Paper Moon,

The Renaissance Dance Company of Detroit and Madame Cadillac Dance Theatre in collaboration with Marty Froman.
The dance companies and music artist have collaborated to produce 2 music videos which will be premiered: 'Dance with Me my Lady' and 'Let's Run Away to the French Riviera.' The productions feature authentic Renaissance, Baroque and Ballroom dance with original compositions.
An eclectic singer songwriter, Marty performs acoustic pop jazz, westernized pop classical and adult contemporary. Marty has made appearances on the Nashville Network and shared the stage with national celebrities such as LeAnn Rimes.
The dance companies will perform live with Marty during the show, against a backdrop off magnificent vistas on the big screen. Eric Johnson (National Dance Company, Mexico; principal, London Ballet; Detroit Ballet) is one of the featured dancers.
This is a perfect date night and to dress for the occasion. The band will be attired in Renaissance costumes and the dancers in elegant, resplendent costume.
