Thinking Out Loud
Perfect World

I want to live in a world in which eating ice cream is considered to be partaking of the fountain of youth.
Where neighbors shush their barking dogs.
A world where the lawn thrives, but never needs mowing and rebellious weeds wither and die.
And laundry would be self-cleaning. They can do it with ovens, why not our clothing?
Wrinkle creams would actually work and gray hair wouldn't try to overtake our scalps.
Teenager's would LIKE cleaning their rooms and they would always take our advice.
Pizza would be at the top of the pyramid of food groups and according to my friend and author, David Vizard, "Beer would be cold and free-flowing".
But, as it stands, my world looks more like an incomplete jigsaw puzzle. Dusty windows, a car that needs washing, and a basement that begs for an overhaul.
A kid who listens to me on occasion, a bank balance that would scare most people and the daily struggle of whipping my hair into some sort of style.
A perfect world, sure would be perfect, wouldn't it?
On second that...naahhh...
